READ MORE ABOUT THE PROVISION THAT WE WILL OFFER YOUR BABY (0-2 years)

THE BABY ROOM

At Paper Moon Day Nursery we appreciate and respect the amount of trust it must take in leaving your baby at a nursery.

We can ensure you that your child will be in a caring, loving and stimulating environment with staff who have been recruited based on their training, knowledge, skills and qualities in working with babies.

We can never replace you as their parent but individual staff strive to ensure you can confidently leave your child knowing they are receiving the best possible care, giving you peace of mind to focus on the rest of your day.

EXCEPTIONAL CARE FOR YOUR BABY HERE AT PAPER MOON DAY NURSERIES

The baby rooms at Paper Moon provide care for babies aged 6 weeks to 2 years.

From the very first day your child will have a named key person who will offer a consistent and nurturing relationship for your child, in order for them to have every opportunity to build an appropriate bond and secure attachment.

Their focus over the first few days at nursery will be finding out from you your child’s routine, likes and dislikes in order to make sure your child’s care and stimulation is tailored to meet their individual needs.

OUR AIM AND PROMISE

Paper Moon is committed to providing a flexible, reliable and trustworthy service to parents as well as our children. Our aim is to meet the needs of local families requiring good quality, reliable childcare.

A STIMULATING, SAFE, & SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR BABY

All staff in the baby room will ensure your child has access to a stimulating, safe and secure environment that will give them the opportunity to explore, interact with staff and children whilst trying out new and exciting experiences. A typical day will consist of free-play both indoors and outdoors to develop social awareness, sensory play to explore and experiment with the world around them, physical play to develop their gross motor skills, songs, stories and craft activities for their creativeness to be nurtured and all of this along with lots of cuddles and encouragement. Staff will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and use the Early Years Outcomes to monitor and record your child’s developmental progress. They will talk to you about this and share their focus for your child’s next steps in learning so that you can also be involved at home in supporting and recording their progress.

Routine and structure is important for the baby room and gives your child structure and security. There is a routine at the nurseries that incorporates breakfast, lunch and dinner that are provided by our cooks who will accommodate your baby's individual dietary needs making the transition from soft food/milk to solids easily. Daily snacks offer healthy choices and enable your child to experience different tastes and textures from around the world.

The baby rooms have designated sleeping areas for babies who need rest at any time of the day. Staff monitor children daily and will provide you with all the information you will need in relation to your child’s sleep pattern for the day, nappy changes and what they have eaten and drunk throughout the day.

Our aim is to ensure that your child is always happy and all their needs are met – at Paper Moon the child always comes first.
